Our Florida tarpon fishing charters are located at Bahia Honda State Park between Marathon and
Big Pine key. Here we have quick access to both the Atlantic
Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. Nearby is a large protected wildlife
refuge with numerous remote backcountry islands and flats for
sight fishing. The Bahia Honda Channel
is the deepest channel in the Keys and a natural passage between
the Gulf and the Atlantic. Thousands of big tarpon migrate through
this area every spring providing spectacular tarpon fishing
just minutes from our docks.

We
are docked at Bahia Honda Key, a beautiful island State Park with one
of the best natural beaches in Florida. This string of islands is undeveloped
and only 5 charter boats are allowed here. Our tarpon fishing grounds are surrounded
by wildlife refuge and are as
wild as they were hundreds of years ago.
A
popular travel option is to fly to Miami or Fort Lauderdale and rent
a car.
It's a 2 1/2 to 4 hour drive to Big Pine Key.
If
you drive you can take highway one from Homestead Florida to Marathon
or Big pine. It's about a 2 hour drive on two lane roads and traffic
moves at about 40 to 55 miles per hour. This road trip takes you through
the islands and over numerous scenic bridges of the Florida Keys. If
you allow enough time to enjoy the drive this trip is well worth doing.
